Detox Salad Recipe


Detox salad
Spring clean your system and give your body a nutritional boost with our Detox Salad!
This super salad is a nutritional powerhouse loaded with potassium, iron, magnesium, vitamin K, vitamin C, a plethora of essential fatty acids as well as antioxidants and phytonutrients like lignans
Plus, top it off with our dressing for an additional boost of vitamin c and minerals to give your body the energy and essential nutrients it needs to restore and recover at a cellular level.

GNC Detox Salad

Serves One
150 g mixed leafy greens (include kale for a super dooper nutrition boost!)1 bunch asparagus, lightly steamed1/2 avocado10 g pumpkin seeds10 g sunflower seeds10 g walnuts20 g goji berries10 g ground flax seed (linseed)
Arrange the salad leaves into serving bowls. Layer with asparagus, seaweed, avocado and sprinkle over the seeds and goji berries.

Green Dressing

1 bunch parsley leaves
A few mint leavesA pinch of sea saltA clove of garlic (optional)Zest and juice from 1 lemon or 1 orangeCold pressed flaxseed oil – enough to cover the herbs plus a little more
Place all ingredients for the dressing in a food processor and combine (or mix all ingredients in a large bowl)Drizzle over the top liberally for an omega 3 and Vitamin C boost!

Serve with poached chicken, salmon or a couple of free range eggs for an added protein boost!
